Enabling visionary storytelling through design for District 9

Working alongside acclaimed director Neill Blomkamp and concept artist Greg Broadmore, we helped visualise and present the world of District 9 – a landmark project produced by Sir Peter Jackson and Wingnut Films.

Our work included developing moodboards, concept art, and brand collateral, culminating in a hand-bound, 111-page graphic novel used to pitch the film to Sony Pictures Entertainment. The presentation secured project funding in record time and became an artefact of the film’s creative journey – with one of the few copies now held in Peter Jackson’s personal collection.

This collaboration showcased the power of design in bringing ambitious ideas to life – helping District 9 evolve from concept to a globally celebrated cinematic milestone.
